The water in Long Island Sound Connecticut is beginning to cool, which has the fish feeding hard for the upcoming migration and winter holdover. Stripers are on the move and will travel through the area in large voracious schools that provide action on any and all techniques of catching. On the Kingfisher Fishing Charter in CT, I prefer throwing topwater lures to entice multiple fish into chasing and blowing the baits up on the surface during this time of year. The Blackfish (Tautog) mixed in with Seabass are numerous, fun to catch, and delicious. As the water cools the large blackfish come out to challenge Connecticut fishing charter anglers with their bait stealing and strong fighting ability.
Blackfish, Striper, & Albie season is here!
